I arrived in Sydney a few days ago and couldn’t be happier to be here! The warm weather, ocean breeze, the freshest fruits and veggies, beautiful flowers everywhere.. it’s like a whole other world compared to winter in New York. I was beyond excited to part with my winter wardrobe for now and switch out my multiple layers for shorts!
The first day I got here it was a bit rainy, so Dylan and I went to see La La land at the movies (the best way to spend a rainy day, in my opinion!) and did a little shopping to set ourselves up here and feel settled. The next day we went for a morning walk from Bondi to Bronte, which is a trail you walk along the cliffside with the most beautiful views of the ocean! Then stopped for acai bowls on the way back at. It feels so good to be able to walk around outside for longer than 5 minutes and still be able to feel my face and limbs! (if you’re in New York right now, please don’t be mad. Come visit. Love you.)
The next day we went to Paddington to get some lunch and pick a few things up. This might be my new favorite neighborhood in Sydney, as far as cute and quaint places go. The houses have the prettiest terraces, colors and exterior details, within winding back streets surrounded by flowers, ivy walls and greenery everywhere. A lot of these places have been converted into boutique shops or restaurants/cafes, and reminded me a lot of Paris! We spent the afternoon at a cafe around the corner called Alimentari then headed back to the beach to pickup some fresh fruits and veggies for dinner! Best way to start our time here.
